This is a brilliant iron pyrite preserved Eoderoceras Obesum ammonite. Specimens of this size are very rare. 

Measuring 108 mm across its widest part, this chunky ammonite was found whole and has had no restoration. It shows a uncommon near perfect umbilicus and some spines, very unusually virtually no crushing to the chambers, the mouth has some crushing, some incredible suture lines and a brilliant golden shine. It has been shined with a brass brush and varnished to prevent oxidisation of the pyrite.

Found on Charmouth Beach on the world famous Jurassic Coast in Dorset, United Kingdom.
