The first bottle in pink:
Nikka Whisky -- Miyagikyo sherry and sweet whisky limited edition, 1 bottle 180ml with original box
Nikka is one of our favorite Japanese companies; not only does it make world quality whisky, but its foundation story is also so intriguing that it is the subject of a television drama. The Miyagikyo is its second distillery, being founded in Sendai in 1969. This Miyagikyo bottle was strictly selected from among the finest malts, distilled and matured in a sherry cask. It’s high quality stuff, like everything else from Nikka.
The second bottle in green:
Nikka Whisky -- Miyagikyo malty and soft whisky limited edition, 1 bottle 180ml with original box
The Miyagikyo is, simply put, awesome – just ask Spirits Editor, Kara Newman, who gave the Miyagikyo her first ever full score. She describes it as being “a glass [she] didn’t want to put down, and… happily drained every drop.” We can’t agree with more, and we’re quite certain that this opinion will resonate with not only our whisky connoisseurs, but also our whisky beginners. The malty and soft is sure to satisfy even the most demanding whisky lover.
The third bottle in orange:
Nikka Whisky -- Miyagikyo fruity and rich whisky limited edition, 1 bottle 180ml with original box
The Miyagikyo is Nikka’s second distillery, having opened up Sendai in 1969. Miyagikyo’s different natural environment, and the use of steam heat distillation, as opposed to coal, results in a malt whisky with a different character from that of Yoichi. Consequently, whiskies from the distillery are known to be distinctively mild and fruity compared to the more powerful taste of Yoichi. This awesome whisky is even more fruity than your average bottle. If you want your whisky fruity and rich, then this is the bottle you have been looking for.
