Set of 50 original drawings with popular design from mid-18th century, dedicated to the Virgin.
They were executed on 25 plates and represent the Virgin Mary with various shapes, clothing, attitudes and surroundings Each image is surrounded by a different setting composed of various characters, religious ceremonies, gospel scenes, angels, various symbols, etc. These images are accompanied by the devotional formulas and titles and qualifiers with which the Marian cult honoured the Virgin (Regina Patriarcharum, Turris Eburnea, Vas Honorabile, Causa Nostra Laetitiae, Mater Divina Gratia, Mater Purissima, Mater Castissima, Mater Inviolata...).
A few stains and signs of wear on the lower edge of the first plates. A hole at the top margin on 2 plates covers a small part of the text that accompanies the image.
These 25 plates, formerly attached by the upper margin, have been kept in a modern case.
