This is a robust tsuba of round shape (nademaru gata), flat edge (kaku mimi), of
quality iron plate with nikubori sukashi design of a pair of aoi leaf and stalk shown both front and back. Has both kozuka and kogai ana. It is signed on omote “Echizen Ju Kinai Saku” and considered to be of the late Edo Takahashi rokudai (6th) Kinai period and “decchi Kinai” type (made by school).
