In the late 1920s in the pet shop of P.H. Verseveldt on the Frederik Hendriklaan 204 the ' Felix Kattenbrood ' was developed.
Felix the Cat was a popular cartoon film in the 1930s, which was shown in all cinemas. Mr Verseveldt had registered the figurative mark as a worldwide trademark.
This shop tin was created before the Second World War. Then Verblifa already had the shares but Wed. J. Beckers & Zoon Dordrecht (Holland) retained the right to produce under its own name. After the war it was known under the name Verblifa Dordrecht (Verenigde Blik Fabrieken).
The tin is complete with chains on the lid and is with its 69 years it is in very good condition.
