KINGSBURY Four Coin Registering Clock Bank - thin sheet steel

Description
KINGSBURY Four Coin Registering Clock Bank - thin sheet steel
North America - Second half 20th century

Offered: KINGSBURY Four Coin Registering Clock Bank.
These penny bank machines were given to savers as advertising objects, who opened an account at some banks.
The penny bank works by means of a rotating handle at the rear of the piece. The bank is made for the use of American coins, but also works on 5 cents Euro coins.
Starting from the American Quarter Dollar, the bank needs 5 dollars in coins to open. This is at the "12 o'clock" position.
You get the bank delivered in this position. So you can press the button on the bottom and remove the lock. After the first coin is inserted, the lock will no longer open until the "12 hours" position is reached again.
