This stunning original drawing of John Blacksad has been created by Spanish master Sanjulian with blue pencil on paper.

Blacksad, the main character in the comic series created by Spanish writer Juan Díaz Canales and artist Juanjo Guarnido, was published in France by Éditions Dargaud. The series has been translated from original French into more than 20 languages.

Blacksad stories are set in late 1950's America rendered in a film noir style. All characters are anthropomorphic animals whose species reflects their personality, character type and role in the story.

The great Spanish artist Sanjulian started drawing in 1970 with Frazetta in the American magazine company Warren Publishing. Their Vampirella and Conan covers gained recognition at international level. George Lucas, himself, owns many Sanjulian original oil and pencil artworks. Silvester Stallone, Danny de Vitto, Mel Gibson and many other celebrities owns Sanjulian original creations.

This unique piece is hand signed by Sanjulian and includes the Certificate of Authenticity.
