Coming from an important villa in Venice.
The marble grain is stunning, both for colour and patina.
The anatomy of the lion is precise, the care and precision of the details are noteworthy.
This sculpture was probably part of a larger composition.
Medium sized, well proportioned and of relevant weight.
Suitable to be hung on a wall; it can be displayed both indoors and outdoors.
