Bust of a young woman in Victorian style. Made in the 2nd half of the 19th century, from 2 types of marble: neck and head in white marble, chest in blank and grey veined marble. The refined detailing of the face, hair and clothing imply a skilful maker.
The sculpture was supposedly made in Italy. The bust is in very good general condition; the gold-coloured decoration on the hair band shows slight signs of use in some spots. Bust was in this condition, previously valued at €1,500. Dimensions (W x D x H) approx. 24 x 12 x 27 cm.
Shipping: at the buyer’s costs, to be determined.
