1906 Born in Haga-gun, Tochigi Prefecture
1927 Graduated from Tokyo Prefectural Aoyama Normal School (currently Tokyo Gakugei University) and began teaching.
1936Learn Western painting by self-study,
Introduced by Shoji Hamada, a local potter, learned woodcuts from "Shiko Munakata" and "Yunichi Hiratsuka".
1940, he was selected for the first time at the 15th National Painting Exhibition at “Nanzu no Umi”.
1941 The 4th Shinbun Exhibition was selected for “Mountain Road”
I decided to become a printmaker.
1943, he was recommended by a friend at the 18th National Painting Exhibition.
1945 Retired from teaching and became independent as a printmaker.
1952 Established Nihon itaga-in with Shiko Munakata et al.
