A stunning large container from the Kota tribe. The Kota worship the relics of the ancestors, this worship formed the core of the religious and social life of the family. These containers were used for ancestor worship and for storing parts of the ancestors. A Bwete image is waiting for the containers like this one. Copper was used because it is associated with long life and power. In addition to the beautiful Bwete statue on top of the container, this container also has 3 relics on the side of the container that have also been processed with copper.
The storage container has a beautiful age patina with traces of tribal use.
