Provenance: From an old British private collection.
This lot comes from the private collection of Mr. J. Bahamonde who over a period of 20 years acquired his collection from various prestigious dealers. His degree in archaeology from one of the best British universities and passion for Chinese art is reflected in this beautiful cup.
A pale with dark inclusions jade cup decorated with a large chilong as handle, the smaller chilong on the rim; the stone with mineral veins.
Width (including handle): 13 cm.
Height: 8 cm.
Condition: Fair overall with use related wear, the rim repaired and reduced, a small old chip on foot base. The cup is very stable.
