Work published on the Catalogue “Marino Marini Acqueforti 1914-1970” on page 33. This copy is no. 55/65. The title of this work is Pomona, a female figure, who is symbol of fertility, a topic he had already worked on in 1935. Marino's art is now held in the highest regard: in 1952 he won the Grand International Sculpture Prize at the Venice Biennale, in 1954 the International Grand Prize of the Accademia dei Lincei in Rome, in 1959 he performed the great equestrian composition, five metres tall, intended for a square in The Hague.
