Lelio Brancaccio (1560-1637) - I carichi militari - 1620

In-8vo, approx 17 x 12 cm, pp. [52] +282, coeval full parchment binding. Beautiful title page, entirely illustrated, and 5 tipped-in copper engraved plates, folded several times, (sieges, battles, troops and encampments), handwritten signature “Ferrante Mariani” on sheet no. 2. In good condition, both on the cover and internally, only the title page is a little weakened, some restored tears on the plates and a few darkened sheets (see photos).
Second edition, published in the same year also in Venice by Deuchino, after the original of 1610, of this classic of military literature.
