Description
SKY FIELD. Full slice. Xl. METEORITE. 4500 years - 20×17×0.3 cm - 955 g
The Chaco, Argentina

The Campo del Cielo meteorite came to Earth approximately 4,500 years ago, falling in the current Argentina the largest metallic meteorites shower known to mankind. It was used by the pre-Columbian people to manufacture metal utensils and it caused true astonishment to the Spanish conquistadors upon their arrival in America.

In this lot, we offer a real Campo del Cielo metallic meteorite slice, with a visible Widmanstätten pattern in its classical form of ‘thick octahedrite’ on both sides. It has fusion crust on all its perimeter.

Spectacular specimen of a perfect size to add to your collection. Museum quality.

As members of the IMCA (International Meteorite Collectors Association) we guarantee the authenticity of all our pieces. Buy with guarantee.
