A seascape with seven barges off the coast of Scheveningen or Katwijk. The painting is signed at the bottom left. The artwork is sold without a frame, because it is too large for regular postal shipping.

The painting is in excellent condition. The canvas has been recently cleaned and is stretched well.

Dutch painter Petrus Antonius Hermanus (Peter) Brouwer was born on 1 August 1935 in Utrecht. He died on September 4th, 2010 in Sneek. Peter has had lessons from the painters John Bévort (1917-1996) and Cor van Diggelen (1921-1989). In addition, he went to the evening academy 'Artibus' in Utrecht, where he was taught by Henk Bellaard (1896-1975). Peter was a member of the “International Organization of Free Art” (IOAF). Painted subjects mostly: known for his flower still lifes, church interiors, cityscapes, seascapes, landscapes, views of harbours, dune and forest landscapes and lake views.

The painting will be carefully packed and shipped by registered mail. The painting may also be picked up.
