Manuel Hernández Mompó (Valencia, 1927 – Madrid, 1992) was a Spanish painter.
He was one of the most outstanding figures of the abstract generation; Without belonging to any group or ascribing to any style, he began investigating in the field of figuration, evolved into abstraction and ended up finding his own language.
In 1984 he won the National Prize for Plastic Arts and in 1992 the Gold Medal of Merit in The Fine Arts.
His work is part of, among others, the following museums and collections:
