A rare mule plate with a round and crowned coat of arms with a sun in the middle, supported by two lions.
The mule plate was used to connect the various parts of the mule harness. It is also a decorative and personalised attribute that allows the identification of the herd. The plates are either attached to the animal's forehead, allowing the plate to move as the animal walks and thus create light effects, gleams and reflections. In pairs, they are fixed on both sides. They also serve as blinkers.
Embossed brass with a very beautiful patina.
