Superb drawing attributed to Honoré Daumier. This is without a doubt a sketch for a lithograph published in the journal "Charivari"
The drawing is signed on the bottom left with the author’s initials.

A cotton test was carried out to prove that it was an original design
The drawing sheet was attached from the back to the back of the mat by an ordinary adhesive band as the original old fastening paper did not hold it any more

Note: a small brown stain at the top right in the sky
Caption in grey pencil on the back eNO 50 (year 1850?)
