Description

This monkey was certainly part of a group Okimono (see hole and traces of glue under the left foot).

The monkey was probably standing on his left foot and having his right foot laid on an element of the okimono.

He holds wwith his two hands the extremity of a stick that was broken just above the right hand.

This stick was probably supporting an accessory.. that disappeared with its upper part.

The carving is finely detailed, with a vivid expression on the monkey's facee, and nicely rendered fur.
