Sandro Chia - Alessi - Tray / Artwork - ‘Fingernail's work’

Sandro Chia - Alessi - Tray / Artwork - ‘Fingernail's work’
Italy - 2000-Present - Steel (stainless)

Beautiful mirror-polished stainless steel tray, designed and made by the Italian painted and sculptor Sandro Chia, made by the Italian brand Alessi.

In perfect condition. Never used.

Measurements: 55 cm x 50 cm - Height: 4 cm.

Excellent as a gift as it is new and in perfect condition.

The design started with a plasticine prototype molded by Chia using fingers and nails: a circular flat surface, enclosed by a plastic edge in which human faces could be glimpsed, a typical element of the artist's language. A sculpture object which encloses within the functionality of a product and the emotional value of a work of art.
