Constant Artz (1870-1951) - Eenden aan waterkant

Constant Artz (1870-1951) - Eenden aan waterkant
Oil on panel - Hand signed - 20e eeuw

Fantastic work of Constant Artz, of course a scene with ducks on the waterfront again.
Signed on the bottom left ‘Constant Artz’.
(Constant Artz, 1870-1951, intimate scenes with ducklings cover by far the largest part of Constant Artz's oeuvre. Usually, there is a mother duck with a multitude of chicks, sleeping on the shore or quietly swimming in the water. The shore is more than once flanked by willows or birch trees, very recognisable due to their white bark. Artz painted his subjects in a smooth, impressionist style, with a lot of feeling for colour and lighting. His paintings, usually small in size, stand out because of their friendly appearance and are loved by a large audience.
In a beautiful, antique frame.
