The Lamborghini Espada went into production in 1968, revolutionising the standards of production cars by combining the features of the most comfortable luxury saloons with the performance of the fastest Supercars of the time.

The Espada, with its strongly unconventional lines, can be defined as the forerunner of the ‘shooting-brake’, thanks to Marcello Gandini, who designed the car for Carrozzeria Bertone. This comfortable Gran Turismo didn’t have to give up the sporty features and mechanical innovations that distinguished the brand of the Bull. In fact, this car ensured the full travel comfort for four people, speeding at 250 km/h.

This Espada is a 2nd series, with wheels with ‘winged’ hubs, equipped with the famous 4.0 L V12 engine positioned at the front, able to deliver 350 hp. This series was produced in just approx. 580 units.
An interesting story dates back to the 1967 Monaco Grand Prix, where Prince Rainier and Princess Grace Kelly paraded on board an Espada before the race.
