Neoclassical style wooden carving of the Apostle San Felipe. It is a well-preserved wooden carving with signs of the passage of time and the attributes of the apostle are lost because of the passage of time.
In Philip's Apocryphal Acts, written from the 4th century onwards, it is said that he preached in Greece, Syria and Phrygia. Besides, both the Acts of Philip and the apocryphal Golden Legend, compiled in the late Middle Ages, say that he was martyred in the Phrygian city of Hierápolis.
