At night, it had snowed at 2000 m altitude, but the day started out radiant with a deep blue sky and golden light.
In the afternoon the bright sun started melting the snow from the peaks. They looked wet and black against the white.
The lake on the bottom of the field of snow was completely smooth. You could hear the dripping of the melting water. Little holes emerged in the snow.
When the sun descended the shadows became longer and the bank of the lake got wider.
In one place he turned inward and formed a depth, which doubled through reflection to the shape of a man. "
