The Ogboni edan figures are made of bronze.
They ornament a specially made iron stand.
The figures symbolise the original founding pair of the Ogboni culture.
They are worn around the neck of an initiate and worn in public as a sign of office and as a protective amulet.
Dimensions: h: 32 cm, w: 15 cm, d: 6 cm (incl. iron stand)
Of course, over the years, the figures have signs of wear.
1. One figure has cracks on the back.
2. The other figure is missing an ear.
3. Both are heavily oxidised.
