An atypical Yombe or Vili mask, border district Zaire an Angola, an ovoid, hollowed mask with open mouth, showing small varves teth, beneath a naturalistic nose with prominent nostrils, glass-eyes with painted pupils, framed by semi-circular ears, on top instead of a normal horn a circular glass inlay with a blackened center on a white base; various colored mainly occre surface. Such masks are used during initiations, funerals of important individuals or some of them may have social control functions.
