2 Copenhagen Gyro petroleum lamps made of brass.
These decorative items are very rare (as they are beautifully old) and fascinate through their simplicity and design.
They are signed and are now a piece of art! They are in some museums of modern art!
Due to the gyroscope mount, it is well suited to provide lighting on a ship.
This petroleum lamp was designed by Ilse Ammonsen in the 1950s and were manufactured by Daproma in those days. This is the cleanest, precision work. Manufacturing the Copenhagen gyroscope requires more than 160 process steps.
They consist of 21 parts and are made in a precision of 1/100 mm. They are more than lamps, they are sculptures.
The height can vary from 21 to 27 cm. The diameter of the foot is 8 cm. The lamps are made of polished brass and have a gimballed mount.
The lamps are in a very good condition. They are old but unused. One lamp is slightly tarnished. Almost no signs of wear with a beautiful patina. They can be polished of course.
With original packaging and description from the artist.
