Pantometer/surveyors cross - Brass, Wood - Late 19th century

Italian surveyor square (Sbisà manufacturer - Florence), with silver-tone compass at the top; the instrument is from the late 19th/early 20th century and comes with its original wooden case. The case contains a cone for screwing the square on a tripod.
The square has a protractor to measure horizontal angles, it rotates by operating a screw.
The compass is working.
Nice patina.
