Christien Meindertsma - Thomas Eyck - Lamp - t.e. 083, Flax Five Lamp 10 metres

Description
Christien Meindertsma - Thomas Eyck - Lamp - t.e. 083, Flax Five Lamp 10 metres
Netherlands - After 2000 - Flax

The flax 5 light 10 metres from Christien Meindersma has 5 lamp holders and combines her contemporary handwriting in perfect harmony with the traditional Dutch 16th-century rope industry. By analysing the history of this craft, she has reduced the rope to the original Dutch material: flax. With the help of flax, the filaments are spun into flax yarns, after which they are turned into strands. Meindertsma's fresh and innovative approach to the very old technology results in this lamp made of very supple rope, among others. Due to the length of 10 metres you can easily hang the lamp. The lamp contains 5 light sources in which any light source with an E27 lamp holder can be screwed in. Comes with 5 LED light source.

The flax lamp is part of the permanent collection of Zuiderzeemuseum Enkhuizen, among others
