RICHARD HUTTEN - Zzzidt item - Gispen.
2000.

Zzzidt by Richard Hutten for Gispen is an easily transportable stool that can also serve as a side table.

Richard Hutten originally designed the Zzzidt item for the gardens of the Centraal Museum Utrecht. He was asked to make tables and chairs for their garden. Instead, he created a mobile stool/table based on a bouncy ball for children. He did not use soft material, like the toys; he used hard plastic. He has added two flat sides allowing you to sit on it or use it as a small table. He kept the handle so you can easily move the lightweight item around. The piece is part of the permanent collection of the Centraal Museum Utrecht, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.
