USA - Smith & Wesson - Model 1 1/2 2nd Issue - SA - Rimfire - Revolver - 32
Very good - 1870 - Barrel is Rifled - Not deactivated

Pair of Smith and Wesson revolvers (2 Revolvers + mahogany case)

Model No. 1 1/2, Second issue.

Mexican Single Action trigger, .32 calibre rimfire, long

crow’s beak butt in rosewood.

5-shot cylinder

Barrel length: 3.5 inches

Both revolvers are in much the same condition (in their original, unrestored condition from the period, no retouching, re-tanning or dodgy tweaks),

Blue-black finish, very beautiful patina, turning to chocolate brown in places.

Good mechanical operation, very light game at the ai gap due to age and signs of use, it is more than 150 years old, after all...

Markings on the barrel:

‘Smith & Wesson Springfield, Mass., Pat. Apr. 8.55, July 5.59 & Nov. 21.65’

One of the revolvers bears the lovely signature of a renowned Parisian arms manufacturer and importer.

Made from 1868 to 1875.

Presented and sold in mahogany box with slight gaps in places, with key but does not close, and monogrammed silver medallion.

The ammunition is from period, but will not be sold with the revolvers. It is in the photos as an example of presentation.
