This a hand-knotted Nain rug, made of durable, natural materials. The way it is knotted and the diversity in patterns make this rug unique and emphasise its authentic and traditional character.
Nain is located 200 km east of Isfahan, at the edge of a desert.
Nain rugs often feature a medallion with arabesques and floral patterns, usually in cream with shades of blue. They are made of high-quality wool with silk accents, with a thin, tight pile on a cotton warp (bobbin thread).

The Nain is an excellent rug for regular use, with a high durability.
This is a runner in beautiful used condition, it can be laid down right away.

Main colour: Cream.
Accent colours: burgundy, taupe, grey, brown, green and blue shades.
Particulars: Beautiful shine; Lots of nap; Rich Abrash (natural colour difference); use of Silk.
Signs of wear: Minimal signs of wear due to use; few spots; small spot of moth damage from the past (photo 27 & 28); small traces of cleaning in the past on the back of the carpet (photo 30).
