Volkswagen - Notchback type 3 - 1972

Description
Volkswagen - Notchback type 3 - 1972
Located in: Netherlands - with German registration - 6600 km

Volkswagen Notchback, type 3 from 1972.

This is a very neat type 3 Ponton, also called a Notchback, totally restored in 2017 by an enthusiast who spent approx. 35,000 euros. And it’s really noticeable when you see this beautiful show car.

The engine was revised in 2017 and is in very good condition. Fast 1600cc with double carburettors and with nice green sprayed parts as shown in the photos.
Manual gearbox, extended transmission.
Hydraulic brakes for even better braking ability.
Also, every visible part on the bottom of the car was sprayed in the colours green and orange.

The extra air intakes for the engine were done for cooling.
The car features several control gauges.
In addition, there’s a strobe in the centre of the dashboard (operation unknown). Schrott 4-point seat belts and very good bucket seats upholstered with very soft leather.

The interior looks very good, everything has been thought of as you can see, this classic VW Notchback was turned into a real show car.

Approx. 35,000 euros (at least) has been invested to turn it into what it is now.

It only has a small scratch on the bottom of the left headlight, see picture.

This is a first-class show car with a beautiful design.

The car can be viewed and picked up in the Netherlands.
