Description
Kaws - Downtime - 2012
Art - Quantity: 1 - Book
Kaws (whose real name is Brian Donnelly) is a New York artist born in 1974 in Jersey City.
Coming from the graffiti scene, he reconciles references to pop culture icons (The Simpsons, The Smurfs, SpongeBob SquarePants), the frontal energy of urban painters (cross-eyed, pirate’s skull and crossbones) and the typical large-scale production means of pop art.
Its emblematic characters (Chum, Accomplice, Companion) are available as toys, t-shirts, silkscreen printings or original artworks.
