Macerata: ‘La Nuova Foglio Editrice’. Bound book, blue cloth cover. In very good condition. With 67 full-page plates and many black and white photographs printed on serpentines. Texts in French and Italian. Approximately 310 pages. 30 x 23.5 cm.

‘The book presented here, born from the 1973 summer, was made in two distinct parts but the main subject remains this Tower House surrounded by ever-renewed moving water.
The whitewater plaid is fed by a spring at the bottom of the park which emerges from an old lion's head whose model has become less clear because of the wear and tear caused by time.
Part of the work is composed of a series of 67 plates, drawn or painted.
They were all born here and each one features a title which relates to situations, atmosphere, joys, everyday events or dreamed inventions or invented dreams. The other part of the book was written during my return to Paris, thus made of a reality built upon remembrance (Winter 1974).
The two parts thus brought together form a whole. It is in some way a hymn to this tower which is mythical for me, because it is haughty and beautiful, it defies the ages and is able to maintain, to arouse (for the one inhabiting it) even the most tenuous dreams. Corneille - Piediripa Macerata.
