French Antique Silver Tankard with Seahorse Handle - Silver - France - 1793-1838
Excellent condition - barely used with minimal signs of aging & wear - 193 g

A stunning French antique silver tankard.

Beautiful sea horse handle with foliage detailing.

Malmaison pattern border around the body of the tankard and matching around the base.

Fully hallmarked with the Greek womans head (1793) the fleur de lys, makers mark and the giraffe head. Also stamped to the top of the tankard with the coq stamp 1st title of which indicates silver fineness 950/1000.

Measuring 11.5cm high base to the top of the handle x 10cm base to the rim x 9.6cm rim diameter x 5.5cm base diameter.

Overall very good condition although it does have a dent to the rim and a smaller dent to the edge of the base of which have been mentioned for accuracy.
