Very rare bibliophile work about Vestdijk, only 20 copies were published, ‘uitsluitend ten pleziere van vrienden en relaties van de uitgeefster’. This is number 14.

Condition: very beautiful copy, slightly bumped bottom right.

The booklet contains an interview from 1961 with Simon Vestdijk, conducted for her school paper by the then seventeen-year-old Vera ‘Xaffie’ de Vries, who would later gain international fame under a different name through her books about her life as a call girl. Hollander's father was a doctor, just like Vestdijk, with whom he was friends. This gave the young De Vries access to Vestdijk.

A newspaper cutting is inserted in the booklet, and added is a British paperback version of the Dutch bestseller ‘Happy Hooker’ from 1975 (very fine copy, name on title page).
