The Commemorative Silver Coin Set of the New Looks of Hong Kong is a legal tender of the People's Republic of China, issued by the People's Bank of China, minted by the Shanghai Mint, and solely distributed by China Gold Coin Incorporation.
The set is formed by 4 rectangular silver coins. The common obverse depicts the title of PRC, the national flag of PRC, the flag of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Chinese redbud and the issuing year, and the reverses are:
1. the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre;
2. the Giant Buddha;
3. the Tsing Ma Bridge;
4. the Seascape of Kowloon.
Each coin is 55 mm x 36 mm in dimension, 99.9% in fineness, 20 yuan in face value, and contains 2 ounces of pure silver. The total mintage is 11,800 sets. This is to certify that the coin is proof in quality and is up to standard as to its fineness and weight.
