Description
Roco H0 - 63871 - Electric locomotive - E 80, Akkkulok - DRG
DC - Direct current/Analogue, DCC ready - Near mint - In original box

In the 1920s, many lines in Munich and the surrounding area were electrified. However, not all tracks were covered with overhead line, so a normal electric locomotive could not replace steam locomotives everywhere. For this reason, a locomotive was needed that could get its current from the contact wire as well as from an accumulator. For this purpose, the E80 was developed. There were a total of 5 locomotives of this type. 4 of them survived the war.
Our E80 04 model has the original Reichsbahn grey war livery.
The locomotive has been tested and is fully functional. The three-light front signal changes with the change of direction of travel (see photos). It is factory-equipped with a digital interface. It is therefore possible to plug in a digital decoder directly.
