Chesterfield was a brand of the South Bend Watch Company (Indiana, USA). They imported Dolmy timepieces with a BF 411 calibre. The stopwatch has a white dial of 60 seconds with beautifully designed numbers and black steel hands. The movement measures 1/5 second accurately, displayed on the register for up to 30 minutes and runs very accurately with a deviation of less than a second per hour. It was probably manufactured in the late 1940s or early 1950s, the South Bend Watch Company went bankrupt in 1954. The code RC 169 on the movement is probably the import code.
This movement is in near mint condition, which is special for a clock over 70 years old. The glass is scratch free and the casing shows hardly any signs of wear. The stopwatch comes with the original box. See the photos for further details. The last four photos are macro shots of the movement.
