The Spinosaurus was the largest known carnivorous dinosaur; larger than the Tyrannosaurus and Giganotosaurus. He was 16 to 18 metres long and approx. 7 to 9 tons heavy. In addition to the well-known type Spinosaurus aegyptiacus from Egypt and Morocco there are new finds from Morocco, which are described as Spinosaurus maroccanus. As not many fossils have been recovered in Morocco, this description is somewhat debatable. Teeth have been recovered in countless numbers and some fragments of this gigantic predatory dinosaur.
Claw finds are very very rare!
