The Buddha's pleasant face, with its narrow oval and sharp features, is an example of the Sukhothai style. The Buddha looks outward with downcast eyes, the corners of which are sharply raised upward. A wide, slightly hooked nose is located above full lips, folded into a slight smile. His face is framed by a pair of narrow ears with elongated, protruding lobes. The Buddha's hair was neatly arranged in rows of tight curls at the top in a flame shape.
