- Page 36: Anglesea (eventually changed to Anglesey)
- Page 38: two weeks holiday (finally changed to three weeks)
- Page 40: clicked her break (eventually changed to Clicked her beak)
- Page 92: as a big as a bucket (eventually changed to Big as a bucket)
- Page 147: Droobles (eventually changed to Drooble's)
- Page 198: baited breath (eventually changed to Bated Breath)
