Return To Forever – Musicmagic
-is the seventh and final studio album by the fusion band Return to Forever, released in 1977.
The band, led by keyboardist Chick Corea, was known for its innovative fusion of jazz, rock and Latin music.
On "Musicmagic", the band shows a further development of their sound, moving away from the purely jazzy elements of their earlier albums towards a more rock-oriented approach.
The line-up for this album included Chick Corea on keyboards, Stanley Clarke on bass, Al Di Meola on guitar, Gayle Moran on keyboards and vocals and Lenny White on drums.
The album is known for its variety of styles and sounds.
It contains jazz rock pieces with complex rhythms and virtuoso solos, but also quieter, melodic pieces with vocals.
The fusion of different genres and the use of synthesizers and other electronic instruments give the album a modern and experimental character.
Some of the notable tracks on "Musicmagic" are "The Musician", "So Long Mickey Mouse" and "Do You Ever".
These tracks showcase the versatility and technical ability of Return to Forever's musicians as well as Chick Corea's creative vision as a bandleader and composer.
"Musicmagic" has been well received by critics and is popular with fans of the band and the fusion genre.
