The band consisted of lead singer, lead guitarist and main composer John Fogerty, his brother, rhythm guitarist Tom Fogerty, bassist Stu Cook and drummer Doug Clifford. CCR became popular in the late 1960s and early 1970s with their unique blend of rock, swamp rock, blues and country influences. They produced a string of hit singles and albums and became one of the most successful bands of their time. Their best-known songs include "Proud Mary", "Bad Moon Rising", "Fortunate Son", "Have You Ever Seen the Rain?" and "Down on the Corner".
