Canon-Fronsac The Canon-Fronsac AOC extends over 280 ha, west of Libourne. With Fronsac the name Canon-Fronsac form the Fronsadais, an important part of the Libournais. On soils are close to those of Saint-Emilion, made up of limestone asterries and Molasse of the Fronsadais, Canon-Fronsac produces 13 000 hl of red wines each year. The wines of Canon-Fronsac are made from Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The conjugation of these different elements gives fairly delicate wines that keep a solid tannic structure. The wines of the AOC Canon-Fronsac are distinguished by their aromas of red berries and spices and which are transformed over time into flavors of truffles.
