【Product details】
Step back in time with this set of traditional Japanese sword mountings, featuring a meticulously crafted guard (tsuba) that is a perfect testament to Edo Period craftsmanship. Originating from the Chōshū domain, governed by the notable Mōri clan, this ensemble encapsulates the artistry and history of an era. Although the sword is a replica, the tsuba is an original, created by Chōshū-based master Yuken. With its openwork flora design and delicate gold inlay, the tsuba serves as a focal point of both elegance and craftsmanship.
Please note that the full length of the sword when sheathed is approximately 70.5 cm. The hilt has two holes for pegs, but only one is included. Additionally, please note that signs of wear and some rusts are present due to aging.
There is a tear in the cloth pouch that holds the Koshirae.
The length of the scabbard is approximately 53.5 cm, the handle alone is 16 cm, and the total length is 70.5 cm. The blade length (replica) is 39 cm.
Embrace this rare opportunity to own a piece that perfectly captures the spirit and expertise of Edo Period Japanese craftsmanship.
