Biography
Fujii Kaido (1898-1984)
He is the 515th president of Daitokuji Temple, the 22nd president of Daitoku Hoshun-in, and the abbot of Daitokuji's Tozu-head Sangen-in.
After the war, he was instrumental in the reconstruction of Daitokuji Temple with Zuigan and Unso.
He was particularly proficient in tea ceremony pottery and taught Kyo-yaki potters and contributed to the revival of Murasakino-yaki in the Edo period.
He also made many of his own tea bowls, tea ladle and calligraphy for tea ceremony.
The mark name is Kaido,Ryuho,Ro-doudou,Masan-gin,etc.
Kasai Wakou (1917-?)
Born in 1917 in Gifu Prefecture.
His real name was Toshiyuki.
He studied under Eizou Katou and was active as a member of the Nitten.
He also excelled at the In-ten.
