This table is made of all KEYAKI(欅 zelkova) wood. Keyaki is one of Japan's most beloved and famous wood species. It has been used as a building material and furniture in many places including shrines and temples. Its characteristics are sturdiness, beautiful grain, and the more it is used, the more luster it develops. This table likewise deepens in color with age, and the grain is very beautiful, elegant and charming, but also massive. The four corners of the tabletop are designed to resemble chrysanthemum flowers, with a groove along the edge, and the outside of the groove is embossed in relief. The sides are similarly embossed, with very careful and excellent Japanese craftsmanship. The legs are also made entirely by hand, with beautiful planing and sawing marks. Keyaki is a strong and hard wood, and therefore, it is not easy to process. It should not be overlooked that this was made possible by the excellent Japanese cutlery. The legs are assembled with mortise and tenon and can be easily removed. Size: High:218mm Width:777mm Length:724mm Weight:13kg Condition: There are signs of use, threads and scratches due to aging.
